Drum Roll Please....

What a night! After a LONG hard day Rhonda and I got to finally feel what we call the "warm and fuzzies". Tuesday night our year long journey finally was actually here! The 2nd Annual Mama's Got A Brand New Bag was underway! The roof was a perfect setting, we can not thank Blair and her staff at Park Heights enough for all they did. The food, service, and style was all wonderful! The night was filled with warm survior stories, fun games, great music, lots of laughs, and of course LOTS of purses! With over 350 purses to sort through we had our work cut out for us, but we did it and loved it. We hope that everyone had a wonderful time and would love to hear your comments and suggestions for next year. Also if you would like to help, we are going to need it! So after a year of hard hard work we donated over $7,500 to S.A.F.E., Inc. What a feeling! Rhonda and I are both still tired and sore from all the work, but let me tell you it was WELL worth it. My parents have always taught me that nothing worth having comes easy. But to know that we will make a difference in the life of a family means the world to us both! We can not say thank you enough to all our sponsors, volunteers, table patrons, and to everyone who supported us though donations and ticket purchases, and our Mom's. Rhonda's Mom came all the way from Tulsa to help!!! She is awesome! And my sweet mother helped in more ways than she will know. So thank you, thank you, thank you! There will be more pictures to come so check back.

They had an immediate creative connection and went into business together two years later. Now overseeing what has become a tru fashion empire, the duo has even crossed over into the music world, recording a techno single in 1996 that feature the refrain "D&G is love."

Prada, is an Italian fashion label specializing in luxury goods for men and women (ready-to-wear, leather accessories, shoes, and luggage). Prada is considered one of the most influential clothing designers in the fashion industry. The label is synonymous with opulence and quality, and is widely regarded as a status symbol. It first opened as a leathergoods shop in Milan in 1913, the Prada label was taken in by designer Miuccia Prada in 1999 and transformed into the luxury goods, fashion house recognized today.

Beijo Bag - You know you want it!

Two-Toned Beijo Bag
This donated bag is in excellant condition. The bag has two sholder straps with a zipper closure. The bag is from the classic collection. The original suggested retail price for this bag was approx. $95.00.

Susan Handley first started designing handbags when she was ten years old. At that time, the ideas remained strictly in her imagination. Today, they’ve grown up to become a very real part of her adult life. As the founder and sole designer of Beijo, Susan is not only watching her own dream come true, but is also the creative force behind a growing success story for women all across the country. As a single mom struggling just to make ends meet, Susan started Beijo with no prior business experience. Instead, she had the encouragement of her friends, a loan from her father, and the desire to make a better life for herself and her young son, Kyle. It was Kyle, in fact, who provided the name for his mom’s company. “Beijo,” which means “kiss” in Portuguese, was Kyle’s second spoken word, one that the toddler often repeated when asking for a “beijo, Mama, beijo.” From that kiss for luck was born the inspiration for Susan to begin selling—at first by the armload out of her car—the Beijo bags that, only three years later, are now sold by the tens of thousands at home parties. Having declined department store offers to carry her bags nationwide, Susan is committed to her vision that home parties remain the core of her company. Many of the women who host Beijo parties are in the process of gaining their first measure of financial independence. These women are, as Susan says, “Exactly like myself, who can do something to make money and feel good and still be there at the bus stop at 2:00 when their children get home.” And whether acting as hostesses, or simply shopping with their friends in an at-home setting, these women are also advancing a commitment to moms everywhere: a portion of the Beijo donation program is committed to organizations and projects which support the health, education and development of mothers and their children.

Coach Purse Available at Auction

Small Coach Bag

This Coach bag is in excellent condition. It has an small interior pocket as well as two "cell-phone" pockets. It snaps in the front and has a pocket on the back exterior.

Coach began as a family-owned business in a loft in Manhattan, NY in 1941 with American designer Bonnie Cashin. In developing accessories for her style of contemporary dress, Cashin dramatically changed handbags with designs akin to modern sculpture, dyed in candy colors of pink, orange, yellow and blue, and lined with linens designed by textile designer Dorothy Liebes. With a greater variety of shapes, colors and textures in her "Cashin-Carry" designs, many featured wide openings or exterior coin purses and pockets. Coach Incorporated is now considered to be a very "fashion-forward" brand and is commonly sold and purchased throughout the country.
Cashin designed matching shoes, pens, key fobs and eyewear and added hardware to her clothes and accessories alike, particularly the silver toggle that became the Coach hallmark, declaring that she had been inspired by a memory of quickly fastening the top on her convertible sports car.
